Designing Audio for a Photo Exhibition

I was invited by photographer Elina Gusarova to create the sound design and music for her exhibition, “Sanctuary” — a deep dive into the unique free-solo climbing subculture of Krasnoyarsk Stolby in Siberia. 

I hiked into the pitch-black taiga to capture the living soundscape of Stolby: owls, ambient winds, pine trees, and local artifacts. From tick bites on slippery cliffs at 2 AM to a face-to-face bear encounter on the trail down, this was one of the most intense field recording trips of my life.
